Half-Life 2 Hints
Secret Area
1 of 8: Go up the stairs to the floor with the two large electrical generator machines.
2 of 8: Look at the wall just above the machine on the left to see a grate covering a vent.
3 of 8: You need to first jump onto the long, lower part of the machine, and from there onto the top part next to the vent grate.
4 of 8: TIP: If you need help getting onto the lower part, jump to it from on the nearby railing or the small thing just to the right of the machine.
5 of 8: Remove the grate with the crowbar or gravity gun, then crouch-walk through the vent shaft until you reach another removable grating.
6 of 8: Knock it off and drop down to the alley below to find the secret supply stash.
7 of 8: From there, you can drop down to the outdoor street area near the entrance to the building.
8 of 8: ALTERNATIVE: You could stack up some barrels and/or furniture next to the wall that's left of the building entrance and get to the secret area that way, but there's no real advantage to that unless you have too much trouble getting up to that grating above the machine.
