What's the dangerous shortcut and how can I take it?
1 of 11: Go to the side of the ledge with the drain pipe on it and look around at the area below and ahead of you.
2 of 11: If you've ever gone ahead the "normal" way on some other playthru, you'll recognize the area below you as the poison zombie's area.
3 of 11: Find the fence over to the left where the car and board ramp are set up as an exit.
4 of 11: Now do you see a quick and dangerous way to get over that fence from up here?
5 of 11: That's right -- you're gonna jump!
6 of 11: No matter how you land, the fall will probably cost you quite a bit of health, so the first thing to do is use the gravity gun to throw all the nearby health packs into the area past the fence you're about to cross.
7 of 11: To minimize the damage when you make the jump, you'll want to land on the fence itself instead of on the ground on either side of it.
8 of 11: The best way to do that is to jump at the big telephone pole and slide down its side -- you should land on the small fence segment to the left of the pole without taking more than 30 or so health damage. (Even using the pole, it's hard to land on the fence, so quicksave before you try.)
9 of 11: NOTE: You might could land without taking any damage if you aim for the parasite rocket that's just to the left of the telephone pole and past the fence, but you may also get stuck against the wall. (Another save-before-you-try-it routine.)
10 of 11: After you land, use the health packs you tossed over there if necessary, then move along to the small supply room down the alley to find more health packs.
11 of 11: WARNING: Don't try to skip any fast zombies by using this shortcut, since they'll easily be able to leap over the fence and come after you.
