Combat Tips
1 of 6: With the possible exception of the poison zombies and their headcrabs, it's best not to use any gun ammo on the zombies.
2 of 6: Instead, use local junk to flatten them with.
3 of 6: There are a few explosive barrels around, and the radiator grille you can go back and get from the little side room down the alley you came in on is great for knocking zombies down for the count.
4 of 6: Also, there are a bunch of small gas canisters in the tall grass next to the little poison zombie nook that's down the street to the left. Use one canister to set that zombie on fire and save the rest for other poison zombies.
5 of 6: There's a whirling blade machine in the large open area near the back end of the street, but its blade will fly off soon after you start the machine. However, you can then use the blade as a powerful gravity gun projectile to cut zombies in half!
6 of 6: You'll want to move up and down the street as few times as possible due to the trigger points that spawn new zombies. (Thankfully, they only spawn regular zombies -- every time you kill a poison zombie or fast zombie, it's gone for good.)
