Dead-end Strategy
1 of 5: Instead of facing the zombies on the roof, you can drop down safely and quickly to the ground using nearby ledges. (Start with the big rocky one that's right next to where you see Father Grigori at the fence.)
2 of 5: When you reach the ground, back yourself into the small dead-end street area.
3 of 5: This is very useful if you have a large and heavy item (radiator grille, Dog's ball, etc.) that you can throw at the fast zombies with the gravity gun as they appear ahead of you.
4 of 5: They can only attack from one direction, and you can keep picking up your heavy item and throwing it at them until they're all dead.
5 of 5: Then just make your way back up onto the roof the same way you got there before.
