Half-Life 2 Hints
Soldier Combat Tips
1 of 8: The first soldier will appear at the top of the nearby concrete ramp as you approach it.
2 of 8: Quickly shoot him down with the tau cannon, then exit the jeep. (You could drive up and assault the soldiers past the ramp in the jeep, but you'd probably take way too much damage.)
3 of 8: If you carefully sneak up the ramp, you should be able to pop a few soldiers with pistol shots before they can locate you and start firing back.
4 of 8: Once they've seen you, run back through the nearby building, then find the rather narrow ledge that runs along the building's right side.
5 of 8: You should be able to see a soldier or two past the fencing that's way up ahead and to the right of a large red container. If not, wait for one to wander into view.
6 of 8: NOTE: You could stack up a barrel "staircase" next to the higher ledge near the red container to get up there, but that wouldn't really help much.
7 of 8: If no soldiers ever appear near the fence, return to the ramp and sneak back up it to find some targets.
8 of 8: You should be able to take them all down before too long, and without taking much if any damage.
