Ambush #1 Tips

  • 1 of 7: The Combine guys will blow some charges as you approach the buildings on the right.
  • 2 of 7: The explosion will drop several large rocks and a power line across the road, partially blocking it.
  • 3 of 7: You could just speed on past without stopping if you keep right and avoid the obstacles, but then the three soldiers who come out and attack will be shooting you in the back as you deal with the second ambush area just up the road.
  • 4 of 7: It's better to stop long enough to tau-cannon the outdoor soldiers, then drive on.
  • 5 of 7: Or, for lots of bonus items and combat, get out and explore the house and shed.
  • 6 of 7: There are more soldiers inside the house, so go up to one of its doors to get their attention, then run back to the jeep and blast them with the tau cannon as they come after you.
  • 7 of 7: On the house's second floor, stay near the top of the stairs and pull in the two supply crates with the gravity gun. If you move around more, several additional soldiers will appear outside.
