Total Avoidance Strategy

  • 1 of 7: Dodge the antlion guard by running through two big wall holes, using the gravity gun to blast barrels and other debris out of your way.
  • 2 of 7: Run forward from the second wall hole to reach the other side of the showers area.
  • 3 of 7: There you'll find the exit doors blocked by a bunch of junk piled in front of them.
  • 4 of 7: However, you don't have to move the debris in order to use the doors..
  • 5 of 7: Just quickly hop over it, open the doors (they open outward), and crouch-walk on through.
  • 6 of 7: Close the doors after you're through (using the gravity gun to throw junk out of the way first if necessary) just to make absolutely sure the antlion guard can't follow you.
  • 7 of 7: TIP: After you move on a ways, you can return to the shower area and loot it of its supplies because the antlion guard will have disappeared.
