Where can I go from the fenced-in ledge?
1 of 8: You can't climb or jump over the fence, so look for some other way to get past it.
2 of 8: Or under it.
3 of 8: Notice the large floor hole that's partly covered by a long piece of metal.
4 of 8: Use the gravity gun to pick up the metal piece and throw it away.
5 of 8: NOTE: It's possible to use the metal piece as a ramp to get over the fence, but that's very hard to do. (Besides, at least one of your squad members will get blown up trying to follow you via the hole.)
6 of 8: Look down into the hole to see a whole cluster of hopper mines down there, waiting to blow up anyone who foolishly drops down there with them.
7 of 8: Pull in each of those hoppers with the gravity gun and either drop it back down the hole to reset it or throw it over the fence to blow it up harmlessly.
8 of 8: After they're all friendly or gone, it's safe for you and your squad to drop down the hole.
