Front Entrance Combat Tips
1 of 6: There are only two soldiers over there at first, so stay back (and keep your squad back) and shoot those soldiers down from a distance.
2 of 6: The instant anyone starts up the ramp to the building's front entrance or starts moving past to the right of the front entrance, two more soldiers and a Combine elite guy will run out of the building and attack.
3 of 6: What you should do is stop a short way back from the bottom of the ramp and quicksave, then run up to the top of the ramp and await the ideal time to fire off a pulse rifle energy orb to disintegrate a soldier or two.
4 of 6: Try aiming for the side of the pillar that the elite soldier will come closest to as he runs forward.
5 of 6: If you fire an energy orb at that pillar right when the elite guy is next to it, the orb should take him out plus the soldier who's next to him. (In fact, I have on rare occasions been able to perform a triple kill with one energy orb!)
6 of 6: If you're short of energy orbs, try doing the same thing using an SMG grenade instead.
