Combat Tips
1 of 4: Before you go near the generator and trigger the dropship's arrival, use the gravity gun to get the large metal desk out of the side room with the holding cell.
2 of 4: Put the desk across stairwell's exit doorway so that it's blocked.
3 of 4: That way you can stand next to the desk and double-barrel soldiers as they appear in the doorway ahead of you.
4 of 4: However, watch out for some of them retreating back down the stairs and coming at you from another direction (such as the short corridor that's to the right of the generator room as you face it).
