Half-Life 2 Hints
Turret Tips
1 of 6: You could just run past the turrets and into the generator room as fast as you can. The turrets will be disabled when you blast the generator core. (If you've already done the second generator, that is.)
2 of 6: Or you can run for the spot between the turrets and roll grenades into them from there.
3 of 6: Unfortunately, both of those plans will get you shot up a bit.
4 of 6: A slightly better plan is to tell your squad to stay in the big hole-in-the-wall room, then run through the laser alert beams and hide in the corner.
5 of 6: Unfortunately, Barney will probably stay with you and keep being seen by one of the turrets. If so, wait until the other turret deactivates, then run for the generator room.
6 of 6: To improve on that plan, toss a frag grenade to destroy one of the turrets after you pass through their laser alerts and right before you hide in the corner. If your aim is good, you'll take out one turret and can then wait for the other one to go dormant again.
