Exit Combat Tips
1 of 6: The best way to approach the EXIT corridor is through the side corridor near it that used to be guarded by two turrets. (If you skipped destroying those turrets earlier, don't worry -- they're all deactivated now.)
2 of 6: Instead of following Barney, return to the first generator's room via any route that doesn't lead you through the rotunda.
3 of 6: Go back down the stairwell that you climbed earlier and past the two deactivated turrets to find the doorway that will take you to the rotunda, right next to the EXIT corridor.
4 of 6: There'll be three or four Combine soldiers all in a row just outside, so hit them with a well-aimed pulse rifle energy orb. You should be able to kill most or all of them with one orb.
5 of 6: Quickly shoot down any orb survivors, then turn your attention to the new group of soldiers charging down the EXIT corridor toward you.
6 of 6: The quickest way to scrag them is to use a pulse rifle energy orb or two to fry most of them, then shoot down the rest with the pulse rifle.
