Half-Life 2 Hints
How does this new gravity gun work?
1 of 7: Pick it up and try it out on the soldiers who approach.
2 of 7: Duck behind a corner until the soldiers get close, then either quickly zap them with the gravity gun's Primary Fire mode or pick them up and toss them into their comrades with the Secondary Fire. You can also carry a dead soldier along in front of you as a shield.
3 of 7: In other words, the gravity gun will now work on organic objects as well as inorganic ones.
4 of 7: Also, when you get to areas with large energy conduits, you can pull energy orbs from the conduits and fire them at enemies. They work a lot like the pulse rifle's energy orbs. (Don't hold onto an orb for very long, though, or it'll pop.)
5 of 7: The gravity gun's ability to pick up heavy objects has now been strengthened, making it possible to pick up and throw even heavier stuff, including the large Combine computer consoles that you'll be seeing in many upcoming areas.
6 of 7: WARNING: The ranges for the gravity gun's firing modes haven't changed, so you need to watch out for distant enemies, since there's nothing you can do to them directly. Either throw energy orbs at them (if there's an energy conduit nearby) or hide while they close to zapping range.
7 of 7: NOTE: All the soldiers' guns will disintegrate when the soldiers die, so you're not going to be able to ever pick any of them up. But with the super new gravity gun, who cares?
