Half-Life 2 Hints

Fast Zombie

  • Health: 50
    Attack Damage: 3 from claws and 10 from jumping slam attack
    First Seen: "We Don't Go to Ravenholm...", Section 3

    These are basically the same as ordinary zombies except that they move a lot faster and have a jumping slam attack. The best way to take these down is to use the SMG when they're trying to close with you and the shotgun if they *have* closed with you.

    NOTE: There are many spots where fast zombies will approach you by climbing up a nearby red drain pipe. If you know ahead of time where and when they'll be doing that, you can wait at the top of the drain pipe and shoot down at their heads with the shotgun, .357 Magnum, or whatever as they climb. Just make sure none are sneaking up behind you while you concentrate on one particular drain pipe.
