Half-Life: Blue Shift Hints
Alien Grunts (Xen Soldiers)
These are large, ugly alien soldier grunts that fire hornet guns (like you could in Half-Life, and can in Blue Shift if you use the cheats to give yourself one).
There's only a couple of spots in "Focal Point" and "Power Struggle" where you'll encounter these creeps, and you can usually avoid them. When you have to take one down, shoot at its head, as its body is more heavily armored. Mp5 grenades and RPG rockets are also good anti-grunt weapons.
