Half-Life: Blue Shift Hints
So how do I make it to the second floor?
1 of 11: First, explore the storage room on the first floor.
2 of 11: When you exit it to the outside, you'll find several soldiers out there.
3 of 11: You'll probably want to retreat back inside, especially since they'll be launching Mp5 grenades at you besides doing the usual rat-tat-tatting.
4 of 11: Do you see those red gasoline cans in the second storage room area?
5 of 11: Retreat past those and throw a C4 satchel into that room. Then, when the soldiers come in after you, blow 'em away!
6 of 11: If they don't follow you in, you may have to station yourself just inside the door and shoot them as they approach. (If you do, make sure the explosive cans are pushed into the next room or destroyed first.)
7 of 11: When the outside is clear, find the dumpster and tire stack that's near the storage room exit.
8 of 11: A soldier behind the window above the dumpster will break it out and start shooting at you.
9 of 11: Grenade him, then jump up there.
10 of 11: Do a jump-crouch to get up onto the dumpster.
11 of 11: Then jump to the tire piles and onto the window ledge. Now you can go through the window, and you'll be on the second floor.
