Half-Life: Blue Shift Hints
I made it to the big warehouse. How do I go further?
1 of 7: First, you gotta survive the big military assault. (Retreat past the door and quickly shoot all comers.)
2 of 7: Then why not investigate the banging and yelling noises?
3 of 7: If you try opening the blue freight car (by walking up to its door and then retreating), you'll just find a bunch of alien slaves on ice. Pain, but no gain.
4 of 7: Instead, open the red freight car, then walk inside to auto-talk to the scientist (who says he isn't Dr. Rosenberg; drat!).
5 of 7: You can have him follow you, if you want, but it isn't necessary.
6 of 7: Once you talk to him, soldiers will open the storage room door when you next approach it. To be able to sneak-shoot them, don't walk directly toward the door, but instead approach it from the left. They should open the door without seeing you.
7 of 7: Once the soldiers are down, you can make your way straight to the Freight Yard. (Though you may want to go back and loot the Parcel Receiving room for some health kits first.)
