How do I get to and start the gearbox?
1 of 11: From the control room, you need to exit through the door labeled 02.
2 of 11: Run along the catwalk right in front of the pit worm until you come to another door labeled 02. Flip the switch and open it to start heading for the gearbox.
3 of 11: The actual maintenance door leading down to the gearbox is busted. You need to find an alternative route down to it.
4 of 11: The main crate room might be a good place to start looking.
5 of 11: Hmm. Those crates might be in the way of a possible exit. Perhaps there is a way for you to get rid of them.
6 of 11: Walk down the hallway with the busted maintenance door, ride up the freight elevator, and you will eventually come to a control room.
7 of 11: That's odd; the room full of crates is really a trash compactor. Flip the switch to start compacting.
8 of 11: When all is said and done, the trash compactor will be clear of crates.
9 of 11: You will find a grate in the floor that you can break through, dropping you into the water below.
10 of 11: Hop out of the water and run along until you come to the gearbox.
11 of 11: Flip the gearbox switch and then start swimming out with the rising water.
