How do I beat the voltigores in the sewers?
1 of 7: The voltigores take a lot of damage before they die. You need powerful weapons.
2 of 7: The first thing you need to do is to be able to see. Switch on your night vision (F key) and begin inching your way around corners.
3 of 7: Pull out your M-249 SAW, the most powerful machine gun you have, and begin tearing into the voltigores. Use things like tripmines and grenades (including pod grenades) to help soften them up as well.
4 of 7: If you want to really hit a voltigore hard, pull up your RPG and turn off the laser-sight. Strafe out, take aim, and fire. Duck back into cover before you get hit by its electrical burst.
5 of 7: Be prepared for voltigores to chase you down. They are far more deadly up close.
6 of 7: If you are having a lot of trouble beating the voltigores, try turning on uniform lighting. You do that by using the Cheat Code "r_fullbright 1".
7 of 7: Also, try getting a voltigore's attention and then having him chase you back to the ladder you climbed down into the sewers on. Climb back up the ladder as far as you can go to get out of the voltigore's range. If he followed you all the way there, you can then inch carefully down the ladder to get to a spot where you can sneak-shoot the beast safely.
