Half-Life: Opposing Force Hints
How do I deal with the powerful shocktrooper that teleports in?
1 of 8: Via the wonderful tactic of sneak-shooting.
2 of 8: First, enter the room far enough to make him and his two pit-drone cronies teleport in.
3 of 8: If you're fast enough, you can run back around the corner before any of them see you.
4 of 8: Then you can sneak slowly over to the point where you can see part of a pit-drone without him seeing you, and shoot him to death with the handgun.
5 of 8: Repeat with the second pit-drone, then carefully do the same thing with the shocktrooper (preferably with the Desert Eagle .357).
6 of 8: After the first hit, the trooper will probably run down the short hallway to the left.
7 of 8: Approach it and repeat the sneak-shooting to kill the trooper, then run forward and claim your shockroach before it dies.
8 of 8: Just remember to never fire off the shockroach while you're underwater.
