What's happened to all of the people in Highmoon?

  • 1 of 17: Have you been to the location marked "street" yet?
  • 2 of 17: Then you probably saw the signs that someone has cast a trance spell.
  • 3 of 17: You're going to have to make a potion to counteract the trance.  Once you look through your spell book and what's available, there's really only one choice.
  • 4 of 17: Try the skeptic spell.
  • 5 of 17: The horseshoe can be found in the farmer's cellar.  Make sure you get a lucky horseshoe.
  • 6 of 17: Either of the horseshoes that points up will work.
  • 7 of 17: You should already know where to get tears from a large lizard.
  • 8 of 17: The dragon will cry when you take its water dish.  Collect the tears in a flask, and give the bowl back to the dragon and take it again if you need to.
  • 9 of 17: There's a giant rabbit statue on one screen.
  • 10 of 17: And a mud puddle near the statue.
  • 11 of 17: Get some mud and use it on the rabbit foot for a footprint.
  • 12 of 17: To make sweet and sour sauce, you need to combine something sweet and something sour.  Use the dragon's bowl for mixing (this is essential).
  • 13 of 17: Vinegar is sour.
  • 14 of 17: And the taffy from the barrel in the tavern is sweet, as is the root beer. Put either one in the bowl first, and then add the vinegar.
  • 15 of 17: Make the potion and then go to the Altar of Doubt past the gorge (with the rope hanging over it).  Another hint tells you how to cross the gorge.
  • 16 of 17: Take each flask of serum and put it on the altar to make a full potion. You may have to make several trips to activate all the potions.
  • 17 of 17: Give the potions to the three people in a trance (mustard salesman, sheriff, boatsman).  They'll all wake up.
