Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
How can I enter the house's cellar?
of 11: First, you'll have to find the hidden trapdoor that leads down to it.
of 11: Examine the rug carefully until you find a spot that gives you the magnifying glass.
of 11: Click to learn that there's something there. It's probably the cellar's trapdoor.
of 11: You can't move the rug with that small table on it, so click on the table's hotspot to push it out of the way.
of 11: Then click on the rug to move it, revealing the promised trapdoor.
of 11: Click on the trapdoor to open it, then figure out a way to lower yourself down to the cellar without risking injury.
of 11: You obviously need some sort of rope, so look around for some.
of 11: Return to the house and look for something to tie the rope to.
of 11: The base of the staircase's railing is interactive, and looks like a good rope-tying spot, so try it.
of 11: Select the rope in inventory, then click on the railing's hotspot to get the rope ready to use.
of 11: Now all you have to do to enter the cellar is move up close to the rope, and click the hand cursor that appears on it where it drops down into the cellar.
