Where can I find the key?
1 of 4: It clearly has to be in the small cellar area that Holmes is trapped in, or he wouldn't be able to get it.
2 of 4: The game didn't want you to leave the cellar before sending the stretcher pieces up to Watson, so where should the key logically be?
3 of 4: Look in the space underneath the raised lift.
4 of 4: You'll see a fairly large key down there, so get to where you can click the hand cursor on it to pick it up.
