How can I make another ladder from what I've got here?
1 of 8: Look around to see what all you have handy, keeping in mind that this ladder will be even more makeshift than the last one, and therefore won't use the exact same components.
2 of 8: Remember that two-part wooden stretcher that Holmes insisted on sending up to Watson from the cellar earlier? (If you haven't yet visited the cellar, go do so now.)
3 of 8: Go into the house and over to the lift so you can pick up the stretcher.
4 of 8: It's still in two pieces, so combine them in inventory to make a completed stretcher.
5 of 8: Select the completed stretcher, then go click on the wall's hand cursor to place it.
6 of 8: Nice, but what are you going to do for hand- and footholds?
7 of 8: You'll need to make some using tools before you can climb up the stretcher.
