What all do I need to get from the upstairs room?

  • 1 of 10: For info on some of the things you need, open up the puzzle box that's on the shelves to the right of the window (as you face it). It's on the shelf below the jar of eyeballs.
  • 2 of 10: Click on the open puzzle box twice to take a metal square and a letter.
  • 3 of 10: Read through the letter to learn what the sign of recognition is for the guys who are authorized to remove the dead body from the premises.
  • 4 of 10: You already have a square item, so look around for a triangular item and some red ribbon.
  • 5 of 10: Look for a coat on a stand to the right of the room's unopenable door.
  • 6 of 10: Click on the coat to get triangular-shaped jewel.
  • 7 of 10: Combine that with the metal square, then look around for a red ribbon.
  • 8 of 10: You'll find it hanging out of an open hatbox just to the left of the room's door.
  • 9 of 10: Combine it with the triangle and square to finish the recognition symbol.
  • 10 of 10: That's the main thing you need, but there are other things you must take or see before Holmes will be willing to leave.
