Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
What info do I need to get from the footprints?
1 of 7: Click for a close-up of the clearest footprint, then use your two tools (magnifying glass and measuring tape) to analyze it.
2 of 7: First, pick up the magnifying glass and click it somewhere on the footprint.
3 of 7: After Holmes deduces that Tumblety was running, click the glass on either the small, smeary stain that's directly above the footprint, or the one that's directly below it.
4 of 7: Holmes will notice formalin, the substance from the broken jar that you found on the stairs awhile ago.
5 of 7: Next, put down the magnifying glass and pick up the tape measure. Use it to measure the length of the footprint.
6 of 7: To do that, click the center of the tape measure icon on the very left edge of the footprint, then hold down the mouse button as you drag the measure over to where its center is directly above the far right edge of the footprint.
7 of 7: Release the mouse button there, and Holmes should mention that the print is from a size 13 shoe.
