Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
How can I figure out which two knives Holmes needs?
of 9: Go by his descriptions.
of 9: He described the first knife as small (but larger than a pocketknife) and with a large, sharp blade.
of 9: That narrows the choices down considerably. Out of the five knives that could be considered small, one is pocketknife-sized (the second from left on the top row), and two of them don't have particularly large blades (the second from left on the bottom row, and the rightmost on the top row).
of 9: That leaves two choices, namely the leftmost one on the top row, and the third from left one on the bottom row.
of 9: Pick up the magnifying glass and examine both of their blades carefully.
of 9: To me, the one on the bottom row looks sharper, but the game won't consider that one correct. The small knife you need to choose is the leftmost one on the top row, so click on it to pick it up.
of 9: Now for the other knife. It's to be at least thirteen inches long, so pick up the tape measure and use it to measure the three larger knifes.
of 9: The butcher's cleaver isn't even close, so try the other two.
of 9: The one on the left side is only 11 inches, so the one on the right side is the one to choose.
