Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
How can I complete the timeline board?
of 14: It works like the one you did earlier in the game, except that on this one, all of the fact cards already have descriptions and symbols.
of 14: As before, click on a symbol to pick it up, then drag it up to the timeline and drop it at the time you want to place it at.
of 14: Remember that if you move it along underneath the timeline, a time display will appear under the symbol to help you drop it at just the right spot.
of 14: All of these cards have the times put in their descriptions, so there's only a couple of minor things to figure out.
of 14: First, realize that the timeline is in military time, so midnight is zero hour.
of 14: That means the top left card's symbol should be clicked on the time 00:00, since that's midnight.
of 14: Similarly, the symbol for the card right below it would go at 00:20, since that's military time for 12:20 a.m.
of 14: The card below that has a time range of 12:30 thru 12:35 a.m. That's reflected by a five-minute range appearing on the time indicator under the symbol as you're placing it. (It goes in the 00:30 - 00:35 spot, like its card says.)
of 14: The rest of the symbols should be very easy to place. After you do them all, a new card and symbol will appear.
of 14: The card for the murder of Liz Stride doesn't have a time listed, so you'll have to figure out what it is.
of 14: When you take the symbol up to the timeline, you'll notice that it has a 15-minute range on it.
of 14: This is actually very easy to deduce. Look at where the card is.
of 14: It's right between the 12:45 a.m. card and the 1:00 a.m. card. That's a difference of 15 minutes!
of 14: Place the murder symbol so that its time tag reads 00:45 - 1:00.
