Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
How am I supposed to dress up these mannequins?
of 15: You want to make them look like the three descriptions you've gotten of Jack the Ripper.
of 15: The first step is to go to your Dialogues and Documents menus and look for the three items that contain those descriptions. When you find one, click on the big "Use this document as proof" button that's at the bottom of the right side of the display.
of 15: After that's done, click on one of the mannequins to bring up the mannequin-dressing screen, which shows all three mannequins at once.
of 15: Over each mannequin is a gadget you can use to set the height of the murderer, and underneath are an age-setting gimmick and a thing you can click on to bring up the relevant document for review.
of 15: Start with the left mannequin, which is linked to your conversation with Abraham Solomonovitch. Check it to see what it says the murderer's stats are.
of 15: Reading along, the first thing you'll come across is that Joseph the butcher said that the man was three inches taller than the woman, who was five feet tall.
of 15: Someone later on says the man was five feet and seven inches tall, but he didn't get as good a look as Joseph the butcher did, so his statement is less reliable.
of 15: Click on the arrow to the left of the first mannequin's height display until it reads "5 3."
of 15: The guy who said that the man was 5 7 may have gotten the height wrong, but we'll have to trust his word on the man's age and apparel.
of 15: He said the man was about thirty years old, so click on the arrow to the left of the first mannequin's age display until it reads 30.
of 15: As for hair and clothing, the description is of a man with a light complexion and a fair moustache, wearing a loose, dark jacket, a grey cap, and a red scarf around his neck.
of 15: For hair, choose a blonde wig from the bar at the bottom of the screen, then click it on the head of the first mannequin.
of 15: For clothes, choose the worker's clothes and the cap that's light-gray-looking. (You don't have a red scarf, so you can't use it.)
of 15: When you get everything set right, Holmes will say so, and you can move on to the next mannequin.
of 15: See below if you need help setting up the other two mannequins.
