Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Hints
How can I get the torn-up reports reassembled?
1 of 8: The game presents it to you as a simple 2D jigsaw puzzle, so that's how you should go about solving it.
2 of 8: To place a piece on the puzzle board, left-click on it to pick it up, right-click however many times you have to in order to get it right-side up, then click on a spot on the board to drop it.
3 of 8: The first thing to do is find the four corner pieces and get them put in their proper places, in their proper orientations.
4 of 8: Oh, wait. It seems there are eight corner pieces, because there are two reports involved. You'll have to put one report together on the left half of the puzzle board, and the other report on the right half.
5 of 8: Once you think you have all the corner pieces set right, you can start placing the edge pieces that connect the corner pieces. You can easily tell which row an edge piece goes on (top, left, right, or bottom) once you get it properly rotated.
6 of 8: As for deciding which corner and edge pieces go with which report, that'll take a little experimentation.
7 of 8: Or you can check the report text given below to help you put that half of the puzzle together, after which the other half will be very easy.
