How can I get the bartender to let me talk to the guy behind the locked door?

  • 1 of 7: Maybe he'd be more cooperative if you did him a favor first.
  • 2 of 7: Notice what he said when you asked if customers pay when they order.
  • 3 of 7: The "little scribbler" seated at a nearby table apparently owes quite a bit of money. Try talking to him about it.
  • 4 of 7: You'll find that he's a journalist who lost his red ink.
  • 5 of 7: The journalist will pay his bill after you return his red ink, so talk to the bartender about being paid up.
  • 6 of 7: He'll be more helpful then, so ask him about access to the locked door.
  • 7 of 7: You'll then be able to click on the door to have a brief conversation with a crook named Bluto.
