Rat Infestation Strategy and Info
Rat infestation is almost inevitable. However, the rats will arrive sooner if you have a lot of trash. Rats usually will not effect your reputation immensely, but they can lead to other problems, such as Vomit Waves and Epidemics.
If you see a rat, immediately slow the game speed down. Then click-kill it and have a handyman ready to clean it up. Better yet, if the rat is on his way outdoors, wait until he hits the sidewalk and then click-kill him, so you won't need to clean up the remains.
