Ico Hints

We're now up the water slide, but I still don't see an exit from this area!

  • 1 of 11: You may notice that there's an iris that seems to lead back out of the East Arena to the main part of the castle.
  • 2 of 11: If only there were a way to open it.
  • 3 of 11: There is -- just like the other irises you've seen so far.
  • 4 of 11: Remember that when you went to turn off the water slide, you had to cross through the upper levels of another room.
  • 5 of 11: And you may have passed something interesting on the way there.
  • 6 of 11: There were several "drawbridges" in the middle of the path.
  • 7 of 11: You should try lowering them.
  • 8 of 11: Once you've lowered both halves of the bridge, cross over.  This should lead you back into the East Arena itself.
  • 9 of 11: Get to the platform above the iris (as described in the question above), and you'll find another familiar switch.  This one will open the two spheres near the last closed iris.
  • 10 of 11: Light those spheres, and the iris will open, giving you a way back out of the East Arena.
  • 11 of 11: There are several spare sticks near the door where you first entered this area.  Pick one up, light it on any of the nearby lit torches (or the lit spheres on the other iris), and then don't forget to pick your sword back up on the way out.
