Ico Hints

Yorda and I are now over a waterfall, but there's a closed gate in our way.

  • 1 of 13: Well, the gate may be in Yorda's way, but it's not in Ico's.
  • 2 of 13: As usual, Ico will have to explore on his own and find a way to open the path for Yorda.
  • 3 of 13: As you're facing the gate, look to your right.
  • 4 of 13: There's a ladder here.  Climb it.
  • 5 of 13: Climb again, and you should be facing a chain.
  • 6 of 13: The chain is well positioned in between two platforms.
  • 7 of 13: So jump on the chain and swing and jump across to the other side.
  • 8 of 13: From there, the only place to go is down.
  • 9 of 13: Climb down the ladder to a grassy area, and then jump down again to the bottom level of this area.  (It wouldn't hurt to push over the box on the edge of the grass, so you can get back up here more easily.)
  • 10 of 13: Now, notice the elevator in one corner of this lower level.
  • 11 of 13: Pull its switch to ride up to walkway on the other side of the gate.
  • 12 of 13: You can find the controls to the gate here.
  • 13 of 13: Just pull the switch to the right of the gate and Yorda can now walk through.
