How can Yorda get to the other side of the gap?

  • 1 of 15: First, you need to make sure that Ico's on the other side so that he can clear the way.
  • 2 of 15: Then, take a look at the raised section of the bridge.
  • 3 of 15: Look to see if you can figure out what's holding it up.
  • 4 of 15: It doesn't look like much, if anything, is.
  • 5 of 15: Maybe you could just knock it down.
  • 6 of 15: It's not as simple as walking up to it and pushing, though -- you need to use a little more force here.
  • 7 of 15: See if something near the bridge will give you the "leverage" you need.
  • 8 of 15: There's a chain hanging down from another tower fairly close to the bridge.
  • 9 of 15: Try to get on that tower.
  • 10 of 15: Remember that your goal here was to get enough force to knock over the bridge section.
  • 11 of 15: A "running" start might give you that momentum.
  • 12 of 15: Or maybe since you're hanging from a chain, you'd call that a flying start.
  • 13 of 15: Just swing on the chain as you're facing the bridge, and jump forward into the bridge.  It should fall down and fill in the gap.
  • 14 of 15: It won't fill in the gap completely, but the space that's left should be good enough.
  • 15 of 15: You can call Yorda with R1 to get her to jump over the remaining gap and catch her as usual.  (You may also need to get her across a similar gap closer to the entrance to this location first.)
