A note about fighting...
A have put how to get past each of the guards in a separate section at the end of these hints. Extra hints for Biff and the drunken guard are in the Castle Brunwald hints.
It is possible to get through the castle without having a single fight. (Except one fight that only requires a couple of punches.) It is also possible to get through the castle by knocking out all the guards.
If you find your health quite low after a few fights, there is a medical kit on the second level, in a room near the stairs to the third level.
