General Advice & Tips

  • I hope you will remember this advice while playing Inherent Evil: The Haunted Hotel.

    Actively look for an action (eye or hand) cursor on every screen, even if you have been there before.

    Because the game is linear in nature, some things will not happen until other actions are taken.  A good example happens at the beginning of the game when Kyle finds a painting stored in an unusual place.  At that point, he can only look at the painting (eye cursor).  He can only pick up the painting (hand cursor) after he finds what use it has -- and makes a comment about it.

    You can die while playing Inherent Evil.  Take notes while you play!

    Read everything you find -- newspaper clippings, notebooks, messages.  Early in the game you will find a Diary.  It is ~very~ important to seek out the remaining pages for this diary and read them!
