Icewind Dale Hints
There's a really tough demon at the end of the level!
1 of 10: Yep, and she's a nasty one too.
2 of 10: Fortunately, she doesn't have many cronies to help her out, so you can concentrate just on killing her.
3 of 10: It seems like it would be pretty easy, six on one, except for the fact that she's really fast, and that she's immune to any weapons of less than +2 enchantment.
4 of 10: The other problem is that she'll utterly destroy you if you attempt to engage her in melee combat.
5 of 10: So, you're going to have to take her out from afar (you DID pick up those +2 arrows and +2 throwing axe from the rooms in this level, didn't you?).
6 of 10: What you'll need to do is send in your character who is the best with bows, equipped with the best bow you have, along with any arrows of +2 or greater enchantment to draw her out.
7 of 10: When Yxunomei begins to advance, start shooting arrows at her like there's no tomorrow, and at the same time, cast a Haste spell with a Mage, as you run your bowman back towards the party.
8 of 10: Everyone should be Hasted, and Yxunomei should be out of the door by now, hopefully still chasing your archer. If she isn't, just take a few shots at her and she'll start running after them.
9 of 10: If you're Hasted, you'll be faster than she is, so just run, get some distance, take a few shots at her, and repeat, while using a good fighter to hit her with the +2 throwing axe at the same time. It'll take a little while, but she should go down.
10 of 10: Once she's dead, head into the room, and search all of the containers and chests to find a big slew of treasure, and eventually the Heartstone, your ultimate objective in the dungeon.
