Icewind Dale Hints
Hmm ... the monsters here are rather annoying. Any tips?
1 of 4: Well, you'll face a number of different monsters in this dungeon. On the first level, it's mostly just Lizard Men of two varieties (normal and tough) and some bombardier beetles, which are rather annoying, because they shoot damaging acid clouds. Stay away from the beetles if you can.
2 of 4: There's also a number of spiders of different types. You're just going to have to tough it out with them. They can be annoying. Be sure you have plenty of poison antidotes, or they can kill your party rather quickly if you have poor poison saves.
3 of 4: There's also some trolls. Use fire or acid on them once they're down to finish them off. The flaming bottles that lizardmen drop are useful for this purpose.
4 of 4: You'll also fight slews of undead, which you deal with like any undead, and finally the Yuan Ti, who are massively annoying, especially the archers. Go all out when attacking the archers, as they're probably the biggest threat to you.
