Icewind Dale Hints

There's HORDES of undead on this level. How can I beat them?

  • 1 of 4: For one, it's important NOT to charge them. There's simply too many, and they'll overwhelm you.
  • 2 of 4: Instead, at every major battle you run into, first kill off the undead lieutenant and any cold wights nearby, and then lure them out in groups, which you can deal with.
  • 3 of 4: Fireball is a very useful spell for taking these guys out, as it can obliterate large groups of enemies charging at you, which you'll be seeing a lot of.
  • 4 of 4: Be sure to rest whenever you're badly hurt. Even if there's still some enemies left, retreat back to somewhere you've cleared out, even the previous level, and take a nap.
