1 of 3: In the first battle with Torak's clan, it might be safer for you to stay behind the keg blockade and use spells and ranged attacks. You can then bust through some of the kegs so that you can get by. (But don't bother smashing them all; they're all empty of treasure.)
2 of 3: You can rest outdoors here, but there's a chance you'll be interrupted by wandering orcs. It's safest to retreat all the way back to Targos to rest (until you can rest with Dereth Springsong, that is).
3 of 3: There are several places in this region where you need to watch out for orc archers detonating kegs of blasting near you. If you're caught in the explosion, your entire party could be wiped out. Orc runners sometimes place kegs in the midst of battle, so keep an eye out for that.
