Cheat Codes
To enable the cheat console, you'll need to run the configuration program that's available under the Icewind Dale II program set on the Programs menu. Click on the config program's "Game" tab and check "Enable Cheat Code" in the "Game Settings" section on the right.
Now when you run the game, you can hold CTRL and press TAB to turn the cheat console line at the bottom of the screen on, type in a code and press ENTER, then press CTRL-TAB again to remove the console line and activate the cheat.
Type the following cheats exactly as shown, including parentheses, and press ENTER to activate them:
* ctrlaltdelete:ExploreArea() - remove fog of war from map * ctrlaltdelete:Hans() - teleport selected characters to the mouse cursor * ctrlaltdelete:SetCurrentXP(#) - sets XP for all selected characters to # * ctrlaltdelete:Midas() - adds 500 to party gold * ctrlaltdelete:AddGold(#) - adds # to party gold * ctrlaltdelete:EnableCheatKeys() - enables the following useful hot-key codes: CTRL-4 - toggle blue-outline highlighting of background-interactive objects CTRL-J - teleport selected characters to mouse cursor (very fast way to move party) CTRL-Q - makes selected monster join party (**WARNING**: The game often crashes.) CTRL-R - heals the party member whose portrait the mouse cursor is on CTRL-X - gives some positional information on the mouse cursor CTRL-Y - kills the creature (or party member) the mouse cursor is on (no XP given) * ctrlaltdelete:CreateItem("$",#) - see the "Item Codes" list for details on this cheat
