Item Codes
To use the cheat codes to create items, see the "Cheat Codes" section to find out how to activate the cheat console in the game, then use it to enter the following command:
ctrlaltdelete:CreateItem("$",#)
You replace the $ parameter with the code of the item you want to create (but don't leave out the quote marks). I have a greatly abbreviated list of item codes below. If you want a more complete list, check the website www.gamefaqs.com. Several guys have created long annotated lists of items for the game and posted them there.
Replace the # parameter with the number of items you want. This is useful for stackable items like arrows, potions, and scrolls. The max quantity for any one inventory slot is 65,535. If you try a bigger number than that, you'll end up getting something in the range 1 to 65,535 anyway. You simply leave this parameter out if you're not giving yourself a stackable item. Examples:
ctrlaltdelete:CreateItem("00swdb99") -- creates a bastard sword called Fang ctrlaltdelete:CreateItem("00arow90",500) -- creates 500 Arrows of Lesser Dispelling
In the lists below, most codes end with a ??, which is to be replaced with a two-digit number or two-letter set. Possibilities for that are listed to the right in parentheses. I had no room to say even briefly what each specific object does or is called, so experiment with codes and write down the ones that give you stuff you really like. For instance, if you take the boots code of 00boot?? and plug in an 01 (giving 00boot01), you'll get a pair of Boots of Speed. They've always been big favorites of mine.
NOTE: Items you give yourself aren't always identified. If you don't have someone who can cast the Identify spell, you can always give yourself Identify scrolls (code: spwi110z). A wizard who has that and the unidentified object in his inventory can right-click on the object and choose to ID it with a scroll.
Bag of Holding: 00hbag01, 00hbgb01 (note that duplicate bags will just be aliases)
Bard Instruments: 00bard?? (01-08, RS)
Gems: 00gem?? (01-30)
Potions: 00potn?? (01-07, 10-11, 19-26, 29, 33-34, 36, 45, 47, 50, 52-55, 66-99)
Wands: 00wand?? (01-08, 13-16, 18-45)
For cleric scrolls, use sppr_??z, where _ is replaced by the level of the spell and ?? is replaced by a two-digit number, which usually starts at 01 or 02. There are some gaps in the range, so experiment until you get what you want. Sorcerer/wizard scrolls use the code spwi_??z, where _ and ?? work the same as with cleric scrolls. Giving yourself advanced scrolls is a great cheat, since even a level 1 wizard can use a Summon Monster IX scroll (spwi902z), for instance.
