Icewind Dale II Hints
Find and destroy the horde leader.
1 of 5: You get this quest when you report success to Lord Ulbrec in Targos after destroying the enemy forces at the Shaengarne Bridge.
2 of 5: You can now travel from the NW corner of the Palisade area to a new location called "Horde Fortress."
3 of 5: To get into the actual fortress, you'll have to explore the Goblin Plains area until you can find an entrance to the Goblin Warren, and from there enter the Fortress Courtyard and then the fort itself. See the hint sections on those areas for detailed information.
4 of 5: Guthma is in his war room in the center of the fortress. There's nothing complicated about finding him or fighting him; you just have to be able to survive the battle.
5 of 5: Once Guthma is dead, the quest is over. Be sure to return to Targos when you're through looting the fort area, and report to Shawford Crale for payment and Lord Ulbrec for XP and your Chapter 2 assignment.
