1 of 4: Use the ALT key frequently as you make your way around the Docks area, especially when you can see dead bodies lying around. There are often takeable items near the bodies. Equip what you can use and sell the rest to Guthewulfe Henghelm in the Salty Dog Tavern. (Note that some cheap items are worth zero gold, and you'll have to drop them to get rid of them.)
2 of 4: Before entering the house west of the Salty Dog Tavern, talk to Jorun Tamewater outside to learn that there's a trapped chest in the house. When you enter, have your rogue do a search to find the trap, then use his thiefly skills to disarm the trap and unlock the chest.
3 of 4: You can safely rest inside some of the buildings, including Jorun Tamewater's house, and with Hedron Kerdos on his ship by asking him.
4 of 4: Don't miss the treasure in the boat near the lighthouse in the very SE corner of the map.
