Icewind Dale II Hints
Rescue and heal Captain Yurst.
1 of 11: Captain Yurst and the remains of his men are lying on the ground near the center of the area. Travel east from the airship and take the first north branch to get to them.
2 of 11: After talking to Yurst to learn what the problem is, head around to the south and east to find Goublika and some fomorian giants.
3 of 11: They're the ones who're rocking poor Yurst, so kill 'em all.
4 of 11: Then go talk to Yurst to get lots of XP for the giant-slaying.
5 of 11: To get more XP, offer him a healing potion of some sort.
6 of 11: That's not enough to fully restore him, though. You'll need to find a special periapt to do that with.
7 of 11: Head NW down the path from Yurst's location.
8 of 11: When you find the remains of a wrecked caravan, use the ALT key to find the one container that you can open.
9 of 11: Unlock it to find a magic stone called the Periapt of Wound Closure.
10 of 11: Go give that to Yurst to finish the quest and get more XP.
11 of 11: After he dies, you can get the periapt back along with some other good items.
