Notes and Extras

  • 1 of 6: Be fully rested and prepared for battle when you approach the large cave mouth in the outdoor river cave area. A white dragon and some white wyrms will appear and attack. Use fire-based attacks as much as you can.
  • 2 of 6: If you didn't expose Captain Mariner and his doppelganger troops at the end of Chapter 2, you'll encounter them as soon as you leave the Cold Marshes. They'll promise to help with the dragon battle, but won't do it. After beating the dragons, you can have someone with a high Intimidate skill force the changelings to reveal themselves and attack, or you can wait until they do so on their own inside the cave.
  • 3 of 6: Before descending into the Hook Horror Lair, search the piles of junk in the white dragon's cave to find some magic leather armor in one of them. Also, search the nest to find a cool Wyrm's Maw helm.
  • 4 of 6: The altar behind the cleric in the duergar shrine can be lockpicked and opened to find lots of good treasure, but doing so will immediately turn the duergar hostile. The same goes for the locked chest in the storage room if any of the duergar see you opening it. (Also, the footlockers in the barracks room.)
  • 5 of 6: Exploring the duergar portion of the Hook Horror Lair, you'll find a weaponsmith named Dragu Ironbreaker. If you talk to him with someone of high enough Intelligence, you can help him finish a magic crossbow called Doom Bolter. (Be sure to ask for a free copy of the weapon in exchange for your help.)
  • 6 of 6: Each of the hook horror mating rooms in the Hook Horror Lair has a tiny little gem stash. Use the ALT key to find them.
