Chamber of Sand

  • 1 of 6: You could send a good high-HP fighter into this trial or a magic-user with fire-based spells to cast.
  • 2 of 6: There are two sand monks in there that can only be harmed by fire damage. If you have fire-based spells, cast them at the monks.
  • 3 of 6: You can also run around and hit the four large switches to briefly shoot lines of fire across the room.
  • 4 of 6: It's hard to lead the monks so that they'll hit the lines of fire and get damaged unless you personally lead them through the lines of fire. This is why fire resistance is so useful for those who can cast it.
  • 5 of 6: Also note that you have to use each of the switches once before they'll reset and let you use them again.
  • 6 of 6: When both sand monks are dead, you're teleported out and given XP for finishing the fifth trial.
