Icewind Dale II Hints
Destroy the source of drow being turned into driders.
1 of 12: You get this quest when you first enter the Underdark's main cavern and talk to Malavon Despana.
2 of 12: To find the person responsible for creating the drow-to-drider converter, enter the drider caves (east of the main cavern) and find Imphraili in her lab in the center of the area.
3 of 12: She'll reveal that she's responsible for the Viciscamera, which does the conversion, so kill her and her servants.
4 of 12: Then you need to figure out how to use her lab to create a poison that will destroy the Viciscamera.
5 of 12: Once you have the conversion poison, go find the Viciscamera in the large NE cave with all the cocoons.
6 of 12: After battling all the driders that burst out of the cocoons, find the Viciscamera, which is a huge growling blob with teeth.
7 of 12: NOTE: Other driders in the caves that you haven't killed yet will come to the Viciscamera's aid, so it might be better for you to go around and get all of them before assaulting the Viciscamera.
8 of 12: You can target its heart, so click on it and choose to toss the conversion poison in.
9 of 12: NOTE: You can click the attack cursor on the heart to kill the thing that way, but you should only do this if you have no one who's able to make the special poison in Imphraili's lab.
10 of 12: Once the ugly glob is dead, return to the main cavern, prepared for more drider fights. (If you want, you can lead the driders west to Malavon's camp and let the Sorcerer guys and their goblin fodder help you.)
11 of 12: When you make it back to Malavon's camp, report your success in destroying the Viciscamera (and in rescuing his sister, if you did so).
12 of 12: NOTE: Malavon and his entire entourage will teleport away after this quest is over, so make sure you're through purchasing stuff from them.
