How does the door in the SE sector open?

  • 1 of 10: From the inside only.
  • 2 of 10: Getting in there is your main goal for the level (besides opening the door to level 4).
  • 3 of 10: To get there, you need to get to the room across the raised drawbridge.
  • 4 of 10: Once past the drawbridge, kill all of the efreeti and then talk to the little boy.
  • 5 of 10: He's really the evil high priest Thorasskus, and there are a variety of ways to expose him as such.
  • 6 of 10: NOTE: Thorasskus casts Sticks to Snakes the moment he's through talking to you, so you might want to gather up and dispose of all the loose staves, clubs, and arrows lying about the room before you reveal his true identity.
  • 7 of 10: After you thrash Thorasskus a bit, he'll revert to snake form and slither off down a secret staircase in the SE corner of the room.
  • 8 of 10: Follow him to end up in the treasure room, which is the room past the locked door that this whole question was about.
  • 9 of 10: Loot the place, then open the door and head out.
  • 10 of 10: If you want to finish off Thorasskus and get his magical goodies, you can find him in the large snake room at the center of the level.
